8 Hour CTAS Course - Theoretical Foundations of Triage for In-Hospital Providers 9 am - 5 pm EST (Toronto Time) Covers Adult & Pediatric CTAS. Course Overview 1. Welcome and Introductions 2. Module 1: Fundamentals of Triage 3. Module 2: Applying CTAS to Adults 4. Module 3: Applying CTAS to Pediatrics 5. Module 4: Special Considerations & Second Order Modifiers Resources Course Manual and supplementary resouces will be provided in electronic format, suitable for printing at your local copy shop if desired. Preparation Please review the Participant Manual in advance of the course Prior to the course, please complete page 8 of the Participant Manual - Personal Reflection on Character Traits It is recommended that Experienced Triage providers review the Article "Revisions to the Canadian Emergency Department Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) Guidelines 2016" if they are not already familiar with these updates. Evaluation Successful completion in this course requires: attendance for the duration of the course, active participation in the case studies, and demonstration of knowledge & application of CTAS principles. A Certificate of Attendance will be provided following course completion, documenting your 7.0 Continuing Education Credits.
